Focal mechanism solution of the origin was calculated by GS RAS with signs of initial arrivals of P waves at 112 stations, including 33 stations which registered compression waves (plus signs), and 79 stations which registered tensile waves (minus signs). The stations are located in the interval of epicentral distances 1.9-94.5º and in azimuth sector Az=3-358º. Focal mechanism solution in stereographic projection on the lower hemisphere and elements of the mechanism are presented in the table. The table also contains focal mechanism solutions obtained at the USGS NEIC with WW-phase Moment Tensor (Mww) technique and in Lamont-Dohert Earth Observatory of Columbia University, USA (LDEO GCMT) with СМТ (Centroid moment tensor) technique. Solutions from different centers are close. The earthquake was caused by extensional stresses oriented to the south-southwest. (AZ=203º) according to GS RAS and southwest (AZ=214-216º) according to USGS NEIC and LDEO GCMT. Both nodal planes are dipping to the horizon at close angles (DP=51-70º). One nodal plane NP1 strikes east (STK=82-88º), another one NP2 strikes north-northwest (STK=330-346º). The type of motion along NP1 – right lateral slip with normal fault component, along NP2 – left lateral slip with normal fault component. The seismic moment according to USGS NEIC makes Mo=1.296*10**18 N*m, Mww=6.01, according to LDEO GCMT it makes Mo=1.58*10**18 N*m, Mw=6.1.
