According to the Baikal Branch of GS RAS, the earthquake was felt in the following settlements: Taza – 5 MSK; Onguren, Suvo – 4–5 MSK; Magistralny, Barguzin, Severobaikalsk, Kazachinskoye, Zhigalovo, Kachug, Nizhneangarsk, Uro, Khuzhir, Kurumkan, Ulyun, Ust-Ordynsky, Arzgun, Ulyunkhan, Sahuli, Mogoito – 4 MSK; Ust-Kut, Ulkan, Alekseevsk, Okunaysky, Ust-Barguzin, Karam, Kamensk, Sakhyurta, Khilok, Verkholensk, Elantsy, Yanchukan, Verkhnemarkovo, Yantal, Zvezdny, Angoy – 3–4 MSK; Irkutsk, Angarsk, Ulan-Ude, Chita, Usolye-Sibirskoye, Zima, Molodezhny, Shelekhov, Markova, Cheremkhovo, Belorechensky, Bratsk, Zheleznogorsk-Ilimsky, Novaya Igirma, Vikhorevka, Kirensk, Mama – 3 MSK; Balagansk, Ust-Ilimsk, Onokhoy, Karluk, Zaigraevo, Tulun – 2–3 MSK; Tugutuy, Novoorlovsk – 2 MSK.
Focal mechanism solution of the origin was calculated in GS RAS with signs of initial arrivals of P waves at 78 stations, including 20 stations which registered compression waves (plus signs), and 58 stations which registered tensile waves (minus signs). The stations are located in the epicentral interval of 2.2-88.9º and azimuth sector Az= 19-359º. Focal mechanism solution in stereographic projection on the lower hemisphere and elements of the mechanism are presented in the table. The table also contains focal mechanism solutions obtained at the USGS NEIC with WW-phase Moment Tensor (Mww) technique and in in the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ). Solutions from different centers are close. The earthquake occurred under the influence of prevailing tensile stresses oriented SE (AZ=128º) according to GS RAS and E-SE (AZ=114-117º) according to USGS NEIC and GFZ. One nodal plane NP1 strikes SW (STK=217-227º) according to GS RAS and USGS NEIC and S-SW (STK=207º) according to GFZ, another plane NP2 strikes N-NE (STK=18-29º). NP1 and NP2 planes are dipping at close angles (DP=42-48º). The type of motion along both planes – normal fault. The seismic moment of the earthquake was obtained by the GS RAS from the spectra of longitudinal waves at the station "Magadan" (∆22.5º), it makes Mo=7.697*10**16 N*m, Mw=5.2. The seismic moment according to USGS NEIC makes Mo=8.282*10**16 N*m, Mww=5.2. According to GFZ it makes Mo= 5.246*10**16 N*m, Mww=5.1
