The focal mechanism solution of the origin was calculated in GS RAS with signs of initial arrivals of P waves at 77 stations, including 51 stations which registered compression waves (plus signs) and 26 stations which registered tensile waves (minus signs). These stations are located in the interval of epicentral distances of 6.5-98º and in azimuth sector Az=2-334º. The focal mechanism
solution in stereographic projection on the lower hemisphere and its elements are presented in the table. The table also contains focal mechanism solutions obtained at the USGS NEIC with WW-phase Moment Tensor (Mww) technique and in Lamont-Dohert Earth Observatory of Columbia University, USA (LDEO GCMT) with СМТ (Centroid moment tensor) technique. Solutions from different centers are close. The earthquake occurred under the action of close in value compression stresses oriented to the west (AZ=257-265º) and tensile stresses oriented to thenorth (AZ=347-355º). NP1 plane strikes NE (STK=33-40º), NP2 – strikes NW (STK=303-304º) according to GS RAS and LDEO GCMT and SE (STK=130º) according to USGS NEIC, both planes are inclined to the horizon residually steep at close angles (DIP=67-85º). The type of motion along NP1 – right latteral slip, along NP2 - left latteral slip. According to USGS NEIC Mo= 6.728 *10**18 N*m, Mww=6.5. According to LDEO GCMT Mo=6.25*10**18 N*m, Mw=6.5
