Fig. 2 presents fragments of records obtained from digital stations Belogornoye (∆ 10.2º), Obninsk (∆14.6º), Arti (∆ 16º), Kirov (∆ 16.4º), Borovoye (∆ 18.9º).

According to GS RAS this earthquake was felt in Derbent with intensity 5-6 MSK, in Sograt, Gergebel with intensity 5 MSK, in Makhachkala, Kaspiysk with intensity 3-4 MSK.
Focal mechanism solution of the origin of this earthquake was calculated in IPC GS RAS with signs of initial arrivals of P waves at 41 stations, 22 of these stations registered compression waves (plus signs),19 stations registered tensile waves (minus signs). These stations are located in the interval of epicentral distances 0.35-27.4º and in the azimuth sector Az=2-357º.
Focal mechanism solution of the origin in the stereographic projection on the lower hemisphere is shown in the table. The earthquake has occurred under the action of horizontal compressive stresses (PL=8º) oriented SW (AZ=209º). The tensile stresses (PL=36º) were oriented NW (AZ=304º). The nodal planes are inclined to the horizon at angles (DP=71º-59º). One of them NP1 strikes SE (STK=82º), another NP2 strikes NW (STK=340º).
The type of motion along both planes – the slip with uplift elements. For NP2 right latteral slip, for NP1 – left latteral.
